Lecture: Construction of DNA-based functional materials

Lecturer: Dayong Yang, Professor of the School of Chemical Engineering and Technology

About the Lecture: DNA is the central molecule in living system. From molecular chemistry and materials engineering perspectives, DNA could be a perfect biopolymer. We constructed a serial of DNA-based functional materials and explored the applications and implications in life science, healthcare, synthetic biology and environmental protection. We envision that our research could build a bridge between living and non-living systems through DNA.
