Materials Required for Registration
1. Original and photocopy of valid Passport and Visa (X1 or X2);
2. Original and photocopy of the Admission Notice;
3. Original copy of the “Visa Application Form for Study in China” (Form JW201 or JW202);
4. Original and photocopy of highest degree certificate;
5. 10 passport size photos;
6. Registration fee, tuition, medical insurance fee, accommodation fee and other required fees;
If you are unable to complete registration procedures within the stipulated time, please do so at the School of International Education, Tianjin University (No. 10 Teaching building, Weijin Road Campus).
Purchase of Medical Insurance
Insurance Period and Fee:
Only one semester non-degree students can choose the period of 6 months (RMB 300), other students should choose a period of 1 year (RMB 600);
You need to buy comprehensive insurance in China. Other insurances will not be accepted for registration or application for residence permit. If not, you will not be allowed to complete registration.
Special Reminder:
The students who under Chinese Government Scholarship, MOFCOM Scholarship or Confucius Institute Scholarship, their insurance will be purchased and paid by Tianjin University.

Physical Examination
As X1 Visa must be converted to residence permit within 30 days from the date of entry, please complete the physical examination as soon as possible (physical examination report is needed to convert X1 Visa to residence permit).
Tianjin University will organize group physical examination for students. Students will be informed of the departure date and venue on the day of registration.
1. Materials Required and Cost
(1) Materials
Passport;
Physical examination report in your home country;
A 2x2 passport photo (you can also take a quick photo at the health center, with a fee of RMB30 /person);
Copy of Admission Notice or relevant documents.
(2) Physical Examination Fee
Around RMB 650 for physical examination.
Special Reminder: Please do not eat anything on the day of physical examination.

Application and Change of Residence Permit
1.Applying for Residence Permit
X1 Visas must be converted to residence permit within 30 days from the date of entry.
Go to Office 206, School of International Education to collect and fill in the “Visa Application Form” (2 copies);
2. Change of Residence Permit
Those who hold a residence permit issued by other cities in China should apply for change of residence permit.
Location: Tianjin Public Security Bureau
Fee: photo taking RMB 60/person, visa fee RMB 400-800/person
Special Reminder：
Please go to Office 206, School of International Education to fill in related form, and then go to Tianjin Public Security Bureau to apply for visa extension.
