CWSN2017 Held

The Eleventh China Wireless Sensor Network Conference (CWSN2017), organized by Tianjin University was held on October 13. The conference, which was sponsored by the China Computer Federation and co-sponsored by the China Computer Federation Technical Committee on sensor networks, attracted more than 400 enterprises, experts, teachers and students who work in the Internet of things and related fields.

The opening ceremony was hosted by Professor Li Keqiu, the President of the Conference and the Dean of School of Computer Science and Technology and the School of Computer Software of Tianjin University. Speakers at the conference included professors and experts from the Tianjin Municipal Science and Technology Commission, Tianjin University, CCFIoT, the University of Waterloo in Canada, the Institute of Computing, the University of Science and Technology of China, the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, and the TRIDIUM company.

Experts and scholars discussed "car networking", "edge computing", "Internet of things in the context of artificial intelligence", "distributed systems based on cloud to end fusion", "location positioning" and other hot issues. Experts and scholars exchanged their ideas on the theory and technology of wireless sensor networks, security and privacy of the Internet of things, passive Internet of things technology, Intelligent perception, location and tracking, Internet of things and big data, and they selected excellent contributed papers.

The IoT Education Summit of Universities and the Outstanding Youth Forum were also held during the conference.

Since 2007, eleven sessions of CWSN have been held. This conference is the first after the original sensor network special committee renamed it as IoT special committee.
