Recently, Professor Huang Tian of the School of Mechanical Engineering at Tianjin University was awarded the 2017 “Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society Science and Technology Achievement Award”.
The award aims to acknowledge those who have had a widespread influence in national mechanical science fields and made significant contributions to scientific research, design, teaching, manufacturing, management, national major projects and research and development of major national equipment. It is awarded every two years to no more than two awardees.
Professor Huang Tian has long focused on the research of robotics, machinery dynamics and numerical control machine tool techniques. He has been elected as a Member of The International Academy for Production Engineering (CIRP), and as an executive committee member and Vice President of the International Federation for the Promotion of Mechanism and Machine Science (IFTOMM).
