On 3rd November, School of Foreign Languages and Literature held the Faculty General Assembly to arrange teaching reform and recruiting publicity work. Dean Li Xu, Party Secretary Ma Xiaobao, Associate Dean Chen Dazhong, Wang Lisong, Deputy Party Secretary Chang Hui and teachers from all department and administrative office attended the meeting. 

Li Xu first conveyed the spirit of the motivational meeting of the credit system reform of Tianjin University to the faculty. The meeting required all teachers to realize the importance of teaching reform and conscientiously completed the tasks assigned by the school. He pointed out that all the teachers and staff would take the responsibility, distribute positive advices and make constructive suggestions to promote the reform of the school teaching smoothly. At the same time, Li Xu summarized recent major work of the school, requiring the faculty to perform well in undergraduate teaching evaluation, postgraduate’s master degree authorization assessment and other related work, so that the school could step on a stage for the discipline development. 

Chen Dazhong introduced the Mid-term Teaching Examination and Teaching Observation Month activities. He required teachers to develop the quality of rigorous scholarship of teaching and eager to learn and emulate from excellent teachers to improve the quality of teaching. Then, he focused on the arrangement of recruiting publicity work. During the next recruiting season, School of Foreign Languages and Literature would be responsible for the recruitment of Shandong Province, and SFLL would set up the recruiting leading group, at the same time, teachers from each department would form a recruiting team to make sure the work going efficiently.
