Tianjin University Alumnus Elected to the Chinese Academy of Sciences

On November 28, 2017, the Chinese Academy of Sciences announced its new academicians. Tianjin University alumnus Li Ruxin, also a researcher at Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, was elected.

During 1986 and 1990, Dr. Li Ruxin studied at Tianjin University and received Bachelor’s Degree. He then received his PhD degree from the Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

In May 2016, Dr. Li, on behalf of Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, signed an agreement with the School of Precision Instrument and Opto-electronics Engineering of Tianjin University to build a “Shangguang Elite Class”.
