Deputy Party Secretary of Tianjin University Lei Ming delivered a speech.
A round table forum was held.
The “Tianjin Consensus” holds that the essence of innovation and entrepreneurship education is to foster “value creators”, who can adapt to the new environment. Universities should commit themselves to cultivating innovative and entrepreneurial talents who will be leaders in the future. The essence is to enhance students' adaptability and creativity in an uncertain environment.
The "Tianjin Consensus" emphasizes that the training goal of innovation and entrepreneurship education is not about whether the students establish start-up businesses, but rather to stimulate students' innate motivation so that they can systematically study the concepts, methods and tools of innovation and entrepreneurship and apply them to products, services and social innovation.
The "Tianjin Consensus" believes that university innovation and entrepreneurship education should serve as the basic project of personnel training and it should run through the entire process. Training modes such as "elite classes", or "experimental classes" should be abandoned, and make innovation and entrepreneurship education accessible to all students.
At the same time, the "Tianjin Consensus" also calls on the whole society to support innovation and entrepreneurship education in colleges and universities, and collaborate with them to establish and improve the entrepreneurial education system. Colleges and universities are encouraged to guide students to integrate their youthful dream into the great vision of realizing the Chinese dream, cultivating leading talent for China's construction and the future of shared human destiny.
The forum was co-sponsored by the Department of Management and Economics and the Committee of Communist Youth League of Tianjin University.
