On December 1, 2017, Professor Song Zhaoliang from the Institute of Surface-Earth Systems Science at Tianjin University received the fifth “Liu Dongsheng Young Geoscientist Award”.
Professor Song Zhaoliang mainly studies the coupled silicon-carbon cycle in terrestrial ecosystems including grasslands, forests and croplands of China. As a first and/or corresponding author, he has published one paper in an EI journal, 25 papers in SCI journals (average IF=3.6) including 9 papers published in international first class SCI journals such as Earth-Science Reviews (IF=7.34) and Global Change Biology (IF=8.224), and he has twice won the Liangxi Youth Paper Award.
The Liu Dongsheng Young Geoscientist Award was set up in honor of Academician Liu Dongsheng. It is awarded to no more than three awardees biennially.
