The Fifth National Experimental skills competition for Pharmacy / Chinese pharmacy students in medical colleges and Universities was held recently in the city of Guang Zhou. The sponsors of this competition are --- teaching committee of pharmacy of higher school pharmacy of ministry of education, Ministry of education higher school experimental teaching steering committee, pharmaceutical discipline group of national experimental teaching demonstration center in colleges and universities. The competition is hosted by Sun Yat-Sen University. For the first time, TJU selected students to participate in this competition. 

The competition is divided into two parts: experimental theory and experiment operation. 188 students come from 94 universities in China participated, including Peking University, Second Military Medical University, Fudan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Shenyang Pharmaceutical University, Zhejiang University, Sun Yat-Sen University, China Medicine University. After nearly 5 hours of incentive competition, two students from SPST won prizes: Liu Ping and Zhuang Chen in Grade 2014 won first prize and third prize respectively. 

This competition is a review of the level of education and teaching, the school running strength of pharmaceutical specialty in SPST. It further strengthens the exchange and cooperation between pharmaceutical Science and other medical colleges. At the same time, SPST also got the right of hosting "the second National innovative entrepreneurship and experimental teaching reform contest for pharmacy/ Chinese pharmacy students in in medical colleges and Universities" in 2018.
