Tianjin University Professor Wins Outstanding Achievements in Chinese Legal Science Prize

Recently, the monograph, “Research on legal guarantee for sustainable development” by Professor Sun Youhai, Dean of the Law School at Tianjin University, won the second prize for “Outstanding Achievements (Monographs) in Chinese Legal Science". The prize is the highest prize for academic achievements awarded by the China Law Society. It was established in 2007, and is awarded every three years. Starting in March, 2017, this year is the fourth session for granting awards. Professor Sun’s prize was the only one to be awarded in Tianjin during this session. Altogether, there have been 57 prizes awarded, including five first prizes, eleven second prizes, and fifteen third prizes for monographs, as well as four first prizes, nine second prizes, and thirteen third prizes for research papers.

The “Research on legal guarantees for sustainable development” monograph analyzed the relationships between sound and rapid development, sustainable development and construction law, and proposed suggestions on principles for improving the law on sustainable development.
