Prof. Li Siliang Receives Hou Defeng Award for Young Scientists

Recently, Prof. Li Siliang received the 17th Hou Defeng Award for Young Scientists in Mineralogy Petrology and Geochemistry. The award was established in honor of the late Prof. Hou Defeng, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, for his notable contribution to the development of geology and geochemistry in China. It also aims to encourage outstanding young geoscientists with distinguished and creative achievements in the fields of mineralogy, petrology, and geochemistry.

Dr. Li Siliang, Professor and Associate Dean of Institute of Surface-Earth System Science, is a Excellent Young Scholar of the National Science Fund. He is mainly engaged in the study on geochemical process of basin biology and isotope geochemistry, the analysis of the origin and evolution of basin substances by applying isotope source method and chemicals equilibrium as well as its significance to regional and global material cycles. To date, Prof. Li has published more than 80 scientific papers, which have been cited over 1200 times.
