Recently, an alumni’s enterprise, TIANDY, officially passed CMMI 5 authentication and was awarded the CMMI DEV1.3 ML5 certificate issued by the strictest certification authority in the international software field. It not only signifies that TIANDY’s development capacity of system-level products and platforms has reached a highly mature level, but also proves that TIANDY holds a leading position and is a model in software development in the security industry field.

Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) is a software system jointly developed by the United States Department of Defense and the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) of the Carnegie Mellon University. It is an internationally recognized assessment criterion for evaluating the maturity and normalization of software development processes. It is also an authoritative industrial standard for evaluating products and the service capability of enterprises. Therefore, it has a pivotal status in the software field. According to CMMI’s specifications, five maturity levels are set to assess enterprises’ process improvement capacity, of which level-5 is the highest.

The CMMI level-5 evaluation process TIANDY participated in is extremely strict, and the evaluating content process included over 20 stages.

Early in 2014, TIANDY was awarded CMMI DEV1.3 ML3 certificate. In the past three years, the TIANDY software development team has strictly conformed to CMMI specifications and made unremitting efforts in promoting software quality and development under the guidance of leading experts. The achievement of CMMI level-5 means that TIANDY has made a giant leap in software development and made further advances in its internationalization.
