On September 16th, TJU held a recruitment activity for the student associations. In 2017, there are 144 Student' Associations based at the Peiyang Park Campus, and 101 at the Weijin Road Campus. The great event attracted a large number of students, in particular the freshmen who had yet to choose which associations they would take part in during their university life.

TJU Student Societies’ Recruitment Drive is mainly hosted by The Students Association Union of Tianjin University. The aim of the featured event is to promote each school-level association to potential members, allowing them to grow and students to make the most of their university life. The activity also provides a platform for freshmen to learn more about the associations directly, and meet current members. All the student associations at TJU take part in the event each year and prepare fully.
TJU Student Societies’ Recruitment Drive started at 8:30 in the morning. Rows of tents, each the base of a different association for the day were crowded with staff and freshmen.
