On September 19, Chairman of the Danfoss A/S Board Jorgen M. Clausen and his wife paid a visit to the Tianjin University (TJU) School of Mechanical Engineering.
The Dean of the School, Wang Tianyou said that Danfoss had been one of the preferred companies for TJU graduates in related majors. TJU and Danfoss had laid a solid foundation for cooperation. He anticipated that this visit would promote the in-depth cooperation in science and technology and facilitate TJU students in their job hunting endeavors.
Kjell Stroem, senior vice-presiden of Danfoss, gave a brief introduction to the history of the company. Danfoss hoped to deepen cooperation with TJU on scientific and technological innovation, including holding training class for technological exchange, launching innovation contests and carrying out cooperative programs in various fields to improve the technological innovation abilities of both sides.
Later, the Dean, Wang Tianyou and Mr. Clausen signed an agreement of cooperation and established a Green Energy Scholarship. Mr. Clausen then visited the energy station at TJU and highly praised the University for its usage of a Ground Source Heat Pump for heating and refrigeration.
