On September 15, Sun Xiaohong, the Vice Mayor of Kaifeng City and a delegation of government officials, paid a visit to Tianjin University to further promote the construction of the Central Plains Technology Research Institute.
Kaifeng City has a rich cultural background, and it is a major industrial zone. And the city established cooperation with Tianjin University. Party Secretary of Tianjin University Li Jiajun proposed that with the advantages of location, environment and the resources of Kaifeng City, Tianjin University will give full play to its scientific research and skills base to further economic development and technological innovation of both sides.
Vice Mayor Sun Xiaohong made substantial suggestions on accelerating the cooperation between Tianjin University and Kaifeng City. She stressed that Kaifeng Municipal Government would fully support Tianjin University both in geographic space and funding.
She also had expectations about the establishment of a team of talented people by Tianjin University for the Central Plains Technology Research Institute. She suggested the two sides could promote the cooperation programs beginning with priority areas including chemical new materials, advanced steel structure, instruments and apparatus, intelligent manufacturing and equipment, and a cultural craft industry.
