To celebrate this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival, TJU is introducing “Special Peiyang Mooncakes” with patterns of its school badge, school motto, school gate and the Peiyang memorial pavilion all carved on top. The mooncakes have already become very popular among students and alumni. Many students who can’t go back home and celebrate the festival with their family purchased the mooncakes and sent them back home as gifts. Qing Shu, a sophomore said that “those mooncakes represent the fact that I miss my folks back home and I hope that they bring good luck to my family.”

The Mid-Autumn Festival is an important annual festival in China, which takes place on the 15th day of the 8th Chinese lunar month. It is a day for family reunion, and people celebrate it by eating mooncakes and appreciating the spectacular beauty of the full moon. In 2017, the Mid-Autumn Festival falls on October 4.
